The Hepworth Wakefield Print Fair 2024 - open call for artists
We are delighted to announce that our popular Print Fair returns on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March 2024. The fair will host around 60 stalls, featuring a wide variety of artists, collectives and galleries in a range of table top stalls and booths. Deadline for applications is Friday 12 January 2024.
Applications are welcomed from emerging and established UK-based artists, textile designers and illustrators working in screen print, etching, monoprint, giclee, risograph, lithograph, collagraph, linocut, letterpress and other print media.
The Print Fair brings together printmakers from across the UK and provides an opportunity for you have your work exhibited for sale in front of 3,500 people over one weekend (based on 2023 Print Fair visitor figures).
The weekend will also feature family activities and special offers in The Hepworth Wakefield shop and café to ensure a well attended, vibrant event.
We welcome and encourage applications from candidates who are under-represented within the arts sector. Stall details
Standard stall: £200 inc VAT. (220 x 130 cm with optional 183 x 76cm plastic trestle table.
Large stall: £250 inc VAT. (Standard stall with additional display boards behind table.
Booth: £350 inc VAT. (Standard stall plus display board shell surrounding sides and behind of table space).
Please select your preferred stall size on the application form, we will confirm your stall option and cost once selected as we are currently researching a new shell system for exhibitors.

How do I apply?
Applications are made through Curatorspace only, via this link. You will be asked to send up to 5 images of your products including your stall at previous fairs/events. Applications close midday Friday 12 January 2024.
What dates and times can I attend?
The fair takes place Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March 2024, 10am – 4pm, and exhibitors will be required to participate on both days.
The fair returns to the newly-created event space at Tileyard North, the refurbished textile mill opposite the gallery, following the huge success of our Fairs across 2023.
Who can apply?
All UK-based artists working may apply. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your work in advance and ensure it is appropriate for the fair.
How are exhibitors selected?
Exhibitors are selected by a panel comprising The Hepworth Wakefield team members with comprehensive experience of curating, exhibiting, promoting, commissioning, and retailing work by a artists and makers at all levels of experience. Exhibitors are selected to ensure that the fair presents a range of styles and approaches to printmaking, by artists and makers working at a range of levels and from all professional and educational backgrounds. We encourage applications from independent artists, collectives and galleries.
Is there a fee to participate?
Stall fees are listed above. The figures are inclusive of VAT. Fees must be paid in advance to guarantee a place. Makers selected for participation will be informed of payment deadlines. Fees support the running of the fair and our work to create art experiences that inspire, captivate and enhance lives.
Do I need insurance?
Yes, all stallholders must have Public Liability insurance to the value of £5 million. Axisweb Network Associate membership includes free PPL insurance up to £5 million.
When and how can I set up my stall?
Stalls will be set up the day before the fair opens. Full details regarding set up and take down will be sent in advance of the event.
What press and marketing will The Hepworth Wakefield undertake?
Exhibitors will be prominently listed on The Hepworth Wakefield’s website and promoted through a variety of content on the gallery’s sector-leading social media platforms: X/Twitter (79k followers); Instagram (92k followers); Facebook (32k followers), as well as in regular e-newsletters sent to our subscribers. The Hepworth Wakefield has a strong track record of securing media coverage for its fairs and markets, offering a further opportunity to profile participants. Media coverage received for previous fairs included Crafts Council, Elle Decoration, The Guardian and Yorkshire Post.
