The Neuroscience Club of Elon University Elon, NC was honored to host Adam I. Kaplin MD, PhD for the day meeting with Elon University faculty, officers and undergraduate students. He provided invaluable information on his research as a scientist, and was an inspiration for students considering a career in the field of medicine. The day was concluded with a reception hosted by the Neuroscience Club ”Kristen Grater”, President, and a lecture presented by Dr. Kaplin. He spoke at length to donors of the community, faculty and students on Project RESTORE and the research currently underway at Johns Hopkins.  Specific topics discussed were how depression relates to neurological illness- Specifically MS and TM.

He outlined the purpose of Project RESTORE and the importance of funding- both Corporate and private philanthropic work- in the pursuit of new therapies for these neurological disease. It was a privilege to have Dr. Kaplin speak and educate our community.
