Sensory Snake

Reg, our sensory snake, is a 7 metre long snake made to support children’s learning in the gallery. He is made up of lots of different textured fabrics and has shapes and objects in his tummy to feel, squeeze and squash.
Designed to be used with up to 20 children, he can be used as a tool to guide your group on a journey through the galleries and support children to explore their sense of touch.
Accompanying Reg is a resource guide, with suggested ways you can use Reg to help pupils explore the artworks in our galleries. You will receive an e-version of these activity prompts when you place your booking, as well as having a physical copy on the day.
